Leon Cupit has, but unlike you, he’s gone and done something about it.
The Hobart property inspector and keen motorcyclist is in the final stages of writing an e-book which will give tourists and locals alike a look at the state’s most picturesque rides.
Mr Cupit said while he had already compiled a strong list of routes for the book, he was always open to new suggestions.
“You're just trying to get ideas on different rides all the time and Tassie is such a fantastic place for riding,” Mr Cupit said.
“You can be on the beach or on the top of a mountain within 30 minutes in some places and there's nowhere in Tassie you can't get to in half a day.
“On the mainland if you want to ride somewhere and see something, you might have to ride three or four days to get there and see it and turn around and come home again.”
While the book will begin life as an online publication, high demand could see the yet-to-be-titled guide find its way into print.
Mr Cupit said he hoped the book would be just as useful for those planning a three-day motorcycle tour of Tasmania as those planning a three-week tour.
“We're not looking for a financial return, it’s really just giving people an education.
“In my opinion there'd be nothing worse than spending three or four days riding around and missing half of the best stuff, if you can get some local knowledge it’s gold.”
