With St Leonards out of action due to track resurfacing, the event switched to Rocherlea Football Ground with Tuesday’s Division A carnival won by Riverside before Youngtown and Glen Dhu took the B and C honours respectively on Wednesday.
LSSSA president and carnival organiser David Patten said the relocation went off without a hitch thanks to the support of White City Little Athletics Club.
Patten said Will Bottle (Riverside), Max Hollister (Punchbowl) and Colby McKercher (Youngtown) were among the carnival’s standout performers.
“It went really well,” he said.
“The weather held out – despite the winds – everything went to plan and we were really happy with the venue.”
Competitors’ results from each school were recorded to give an overall school victory in each division.
