The sessions are part of a five-week training program involving role-play based exercises and the apprehension of armed offenders.
More than 180 Tasmania Police staff members have taken part and the training has been overseen by specialist tactical officers.
Northern District Commander Brett Smith said it had been a success so far.
“It gives our people exposure to practical problem solving, decision making and leadership which ultimately creates enhanced confidence in our officers, their safety and the safety of the community,” he said.
“The performances of all of our staff has certainly exceeded our expectations.
“We have found our officers were very adaptive and quickly acquired the enhanced technical skills needed.”
The last session will run from 10am to 1pm on Wednesday. Residents are reminded not to be alarmed if ‘gun shots’ are heard near the location.
