North knew that East would come out of the blocks firing, with the East boys known for their noise.
The bowls did the talking for North Launceston though with all rinks surging when needed.
Tim Douce had the tough task of matching it with Robert McMullen and both skippers kept it tight early with 13 ones scored during the 21 ends played.
Douce pressed hard on the 14th end scoring a five and then backed it up on the 18th with a five giving them a three-shot lead.
Andrew Whitmore and his rink were too good from the start, with Josh Walker-Davis showing what can happen when your lead is on.
The young gun set his rink up all day allowing Jarrod Howard and Whitmore to convert at every opportunity that presented itself.
The rink finished with a 21 shot win of the Will Springer skipped East rink.
David Minns lined up against former club mate Adam Gurr and the rink outplayed their opponents all day.
Brett Avent and Courtney Hobbs kept pumping bowls into the head and had their opposition chasing from the get go. Minns was true to form, leading the North crew proudly.
In division one, Invermay got the win over Trevallyn taking the pennant back to the swamp.
