A recliner chair was involved but performers did little in the way of relaxing on Saturday as Nitro Circus visited Launceston for the first time in its history.

The stunt show’s University of Tasmania Stadium debut received a warm welcome from Launcestonians, who watched on in awe as daredevils took turns hurtling down a 55-foot high ramp aboard scooters, motocross bikes and even shopping trolleys.
Event manager Dan Morgan said patchy rain had knocked back the show’s starting time, but had been unable to catch performers off guard.
“It never ceases to surprise me, I've seen so many shows and I'm mesmerised still,” Mr Morgan said.
“The guys are riding incredibly well, it's amazing how many world-firsts you see on the Australian tour, the riders are at the top of their game.”
Mr Morgan said Nitro athletes had enjoyed a casual lead-up to the show, with a number of performers visiting Royal Park on Friday to check out the Launceston skate scene.
“The guys have been riding with some of the fans and they were amazed by the skill and talent that was on display.
“They all came back raving about the little fans... if they weren't in the show they'd be in the park themselves so it's just an extension of what they love and what they do.”
The Launceston show was the fourth in a string of 15 Nitro shows taking place across the country.
