After an even start to their preliminary final game on Saturday against Trevallyn, East took the lead and were relentless in their quest to winning ends.
William Springer was in fine form, overcoming a deflated Dan Hollingsworth who just didn't quite have the fire power needed to match it.
This rink was the difference on the day, with the Springer-Springer combo too much for their opposition. East Launceston proved that they can talk the talk and walk the walk, with plenty of noise to match the performance.
Josh Appleyard put in a solid performance against Adam Gurr but it was Gurr that came out on top with a one-shot advantage. Scott Summers showed why he is still in the best twelve of the state, contributing when needed.
Jason Lane lined up against the quiet Robert McMullen, with the game looking in East's favour early, however Trevallyn surged late and were able to get back within four shots late.
Sunday’s game should be a cracker with East Launceston and North Launceston finishing within a handful of shots in both rostered games this year. Both clubs will be looking to show their dominance over the competition, with some big names on the green.
In Division One, Trevallyn will play Invermay, after Invermay knocked out East Launceston.
