The paintball field would be located at a 42 hectare block at 961 Coles Bay Road, about a kilometre south of Friendly Beaches Road, and would span about four hectares.
In a submission to council, the project's proponents Peter Moult and Rebecca and Vaughan Alexander said the property was a prime location for a paintball field.
"Freycinet Paintball will add another dimension to the existing Coles Bay and Freycinet Outdoor Experiences,” the submission read.
“If we can provide another activity, we can keep people in our area for longer.
“We believe that this is an exciting prospect for our community and look forward to moving forward with our plans.”
Paintball became legal in Tasmania in 2015 and has since spawned four businesses across the state.
