“I was pleased with the way the team played overall because we had quite a few personnel changes in both games with three of the Collingwood Magpies girls return to play with us on the Sunday from the Super League,” he said.
“We won all eight quarters which was pleasing and we were pretty consistent and strong – so probably one of our better weekends I’d say.”
Fletcher said Tasmanian players Shelby Miller, Emma Johns and Hayley Sansom had performed well.
“Shelby played four quarters on Saturday in the centre and did a good job but pulled up a bit sore so she didn’t play on Sunday.
“Hayley Sansom is the co-captain of our program and leading the show at the moment with our Ella Bayliss out with a crack in the leg.”
With a 5-5, win-loss record, Fletcher said the Magpies were hopeful of more wins over the final two rounds of the roster against NSW Waratahs and Western Sting and making finals.
“If we can grab three or four wins out of that we will be in with a chance of making ANL finals.
