The Northern Sports Association of Tasmanian Independent Schools swimming carnival involved six schools.
Northern SATIS administration officer Barb McBride said the event featured about 400 athletes and 30 volunteers from Tasmanian swimming organisations and schools.
The four-hour program began with the girls and boys medley relays and concluded with 4x50-metre freestyle relays.
The Southern equivalent event will be held on Thursday at Hobart Aquatic Centre and the state final will be at the same venue on Thursday, March 30.
The SATIS rowing and cricket seasons are also reaching their climax with the Head of the River regatta at Lake Barrington on Saturday and the cricket finals on March 24-25.
The Tasmanian All-Schools cross-country titles will be at Symmons Plains on Tuesday, July 4.
