The senior boys’ professional team, Instant Transmission, has won a collaboration wildcard with a team from New South Wales.
Three of the four Instant Transmission team members will compete with three members from the NSW team in Malaysia later this year. They will head over with national winners Golden Diversity, also from Tasmania – the first time two Tasmanian teams have represented Australia in the international competition.
The students studied and competed in the miniature F1 competitions over the years at Queechy High School, but will be competing at the World Finals as Launceston College students.
Year 10 Queechy High teacher Murat Djakic said he was proud to see the students doing so well on a national level. “A teacher hopes for the best for their students. We give them the knowledge and the skills and they’ve been working hard for the last four years to be the best,” he said.
