For the 15th year, the national-standard trials will host riders from across Australia in nine graded competitions.
Australian number two Chris Bayles, of Cressy, will return to the top grade to demonstrate his skill on the metres-high obstacles and compete for the title of Tasmanian champion.
Meanwhile, Launceston’s Dylan Bayles will also be back for more after taking out first in the A-grade February trials.
Competition takes place across a 50-metre natural obstacle course taken at low speed with focus on brake, clutch and throttle control.
The top riders compete in expert grade on modern motorcycles, while other grades feature a diverse range of bikes including pre-1986 twin-shock motorcycles.
Motorcycle trials have attracted some strong interest from enduro, motoX and Braaap riders keen to learn from the precise control requirements of the sport.
The recent Broadford trials saw several Enduro X riders take out third and fifth place in the open pro class, competing on 250cc trial bikes.
The event is free for spectators to enjoy watching Tasmania’s best motorcycle riders, with the low speeds making it safe for spectators to watch the action from close by.
The trials, hosted by the Tasmanian Moto Trials Club, run over Saturday and Sunday, starting at 10am and finishing at 3.30pm, at 612 Mount Joy Rd, Powranna.
