There is no doubt that having a time-travelling DJ playing a sold-out show at a small vineyard is a new concept for Tasmania.

This month, Australian DJ Tom Loud, better known as Hot Dub Time Machine, took over Ranelagh’s Home Hill Winery for the first Hot Dub Wine Machine festival.
As the afternoon rolled on, large crowds spent their day relaxing on the grass and watching on as Tasmanian Dj Damza, and acts including Sampology, Paces and Dena Amy took to the stage.
A few eager dancers headed to the front of stage early, but the event really got started in the evening, especially when Hot Dub Time Machine jumped in.
Starting from the 1960s, Hot Dub Time Machine played his signature set of the most popular, and best sing-a-long, song of that year.
And people were not afraid to have a sing – but who could resist classics from Aretha Franklin, The Kinks, Rage Against the Machine and The Backstreet Boys.
Halfway through the show, crowds were treated to arguably three of the nation’s best DJs, Hot Dub Time Machine, Sampology, and Dj Damza, taking on an impromptu, and very impressive, performance.
As confetti fell over the energetic crowd and the sun began to set, the first festival of its kind in Tasmania was a solid success.
Tasmania was the first stop on the Hot Dub Wine Machine national tour.
