The 25-year-old was returning from a walk at Lady Lake in the Central Plateau region when she veered off track and became lost.
After calling triple-zero, Police and SES Land Search and Rescue crews were sent to the area but were unable to find the woman.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter traveled to the location on Wednesday and found the woman in Dale Brook, a small creek that flows north from the Lady Lake area.
She was winched from the scene and was reported as being tired but uninjured.
