The founder of And Co. pop-up stalls will run a pop-up tent at this weekend’s Relay For Life, offering a range of handmade Tasmanian goods and a selection of free workshops.
Also for sale will be personalised wooden daffodils, which will be displayed on a memorandum wall in the And Co. tent throughout the event.
Mrs Snooks said all proceeds from the daffodils would go to the Cancer Council.
“I lost mum 12 months ago so I really wanted to do something in her legacy and the Cancer Council is obviously such a deserving charity that does so much for people going through cancer, and carers and survivors,” Mrs Snooks said.
“People can order daffodils online through our website, and they get personalised and engraved with a special message of hope or encouragement.
“Then they’re displayed in a beautiful setting at the event so people can come and have a moment of silence and reflect on why they relay and what they're doing for Cancer Council, and then we'll post them out to each purchaser at the end of the event.”
The And Co. Relay For Life stall will run from 2pm on Saturday until 10am on Sunday at the University of Tasmania Newnham Campus.
A further 20 per cent of the stall’s proceeds over the weekend will be donated to the Cancer Council.
Daffodils are $10 each and can be ordered here.
