He was luckless in defeat to Adam’s Bandit in the Launceston Gold Collar in November and has since won five of 13 in Tasmania including a last-start victory in Hobart a fortnight ago.
He returns to Launceston in a Grade 6 event over 515m and from the outside box he’ll be hoping to find a break early enough to cross before the first turn.
Demon Lad, trained by Kevin McConnon, broke through for his first win in 14 attempts in Hobart on Thursday night and will look to set the pace early.
Le Baz and Miss Montez look the other leading contenders.
The first of 10 races is set to jump at 7.33pm.
