Many youngsters wandered around Prince’s Square in awe of being in the same place as their beautiful heros on Sunday at the inaugural Princesses in the Park.

Seven-year-old Cassidee Reitsema, said the event was “really cool”. Miss Reitsema said it was hard to choose who her favourite princess was, but really liked meeting Rapunzel.
Snow White, Aladdin, Cinderella and Prince Charming also made appearances.
Owner and director of Fairy Tales and Pirate Sails, Jackie Wools-Cobb said more than 1000 people attended the event, deeming the event a success through the children’s smiles.
“It’s been packed since 10 o’clock and we didn’t even open until 11,” she said.
Miss Wools-Cobb said the response was positive ahead of launching her team in Launceston.
“We really appreciate the public’s support. We’re all uni students just trying to make a bit of magic.”
