But reigning champions Launceston Gorillas have been left unfazed by the change of venue this year.
Hobart Knights earned the right to host on Saturday in a comeback win over crosstown rivals UTas Devils after trailing 10-0 at half-time.
Royal Park hosted the past two finals after Launceston won the minor premiership.
Gorillas head coach Brett Wheldon said the fifth trip south would not affect readiness for Tiger Bowl III.
“It’s definitely the one we have been looking forward to all year,” Wheldon said.
“It’s good to be a part of it.
“It’s the first time we’ve had to travel for it … so it’s something new for us.
“But I don’t think it’s going to change much, really.”
The two finalists have split their four clashes after both finished with 6-2 records.
They have also both won a Bowl title each, providing additional motivation.
“That will be on the back on most of our minds that we’re one each and this will put us up as the best club in the state,” Wheldon said.
“But it’s definitely not on what we’re focusing on.”
The Gorillas will regain starting running backs Mitchell Lee and Jamie Dash after a number of weeks out.
“That is going to change the game plan a little bit,” Wheldon said.
“Now that they’re back, we can use all of our arsenal that we have in our playbook.”
Tiger Bowl III final will kickoff on Saturday at 2:30pm at Hobart’s Rugby Park.
