Luckily for Launceston hairdresser and The Examiner’s Face of the Launceston Cup Lauren Sotheran her workmates at U.R.unique had her covered.
“We do hair, makeup, beauty, all the works, so I was very lucky to call them in on Sunday for a spray tan,” she said.
The 25-year-old said it was a beautiful day for the event, despite nearly losing her fascinator after several gusts of wind.
“It’s a different type of fashion, it’s different to what you normally dress up in with the fascinator and the hats and putting the outfit together,” Miss Sotheran said.
“Mine was a bit of a last minute thing, I put this together on Monday, I love the colours and the florals, lilacs and pastels are really in at the moment. I think racewear is about self respect as well and something to take pride in, it’s not something you would wear everyday.”
