UPDATE 12.39pm:
A staff member has been treated by paramedics after suffering a heart attack while on track at the Launceston Cup on Wednesday.
The day’s schedule was pushed back due to the emergency.
Race one began at 12.38pm.
The main race will now be held at 5.04pm.
EARLIER:
Race one at the Launceston Cup has been delayed due to an emergency at Mowbray Racecourse.
Fairfax Tasmania understands that a staff member collapsed on the track with a suspected heart attack.
Paramedics are with the man.
All races will be delayed until further notice.
