The airport art project saw the arrivals lounge transformed into a unique art installation on Tuesday.
Ten Days on the Island artistic director David Malacari said the project was “fantastic”.
“This is a fabulous idea of trying to recreate a Glover painting themselves. There is a little template, they pick a square and they have a piece of paper and they try and recreate the section on that piece. Then it’s taken to the board and put in the appropriate place,” Malacari said.
“We’ve found already that passing visitors just want to do a little section of this Glover painting. It’s really captured people’s imaginations to look at this fantastic painting, he was a wonderful landscape artist.”
The project is a way to promote The Patterdale Project, where four artists will spend time at Glover’s home and respond to the landscape that inspired him.
