The West Pine 24-year-old joined Ashlee Ankudinoff (NSW), Alex Manly (SA) and Rebecca Wiasak (ACT) to claim gold in the women's team pursuit, with fellow Tasmanian Georgia Baker having helped the team qualify.
Less than two hours later Cure was again standing on the top step of the podium in the points race, bringing Australia's tally to three gold following the omnium victory by Tasmanian Criterium Series champion Sam Welsford (WA).
Cure, who also finished fourth in the omnium, was returning to the Velódromo Alcides Nieto Patiño in Cali where she won her maiden senior world title in 2014.
"It was great to win again here tonight. I love the racing here and the crowd,” she said. "I didn't put much pressure on myself leading into this race as I just got off the bike from the TP and was very happy with our gold from that."
A bold move just after the halfway point saw Cure make easy work of taking a lap, completing the chase in less than 10 laps.
"My plan was actually to sit in the first few laps to try and recover from the teams pursuit," she said.
"My legs were hurting as I wasn't the strongest in the TP and that hurt me a lot. I knew it was very important for me not to go too deep to early into the race. And then see how I feel in the back end."
With the 20 points from taking a lap Cure finished five points ahead of fast-chasing American Sarah Hammer with Italian Simona Frapporti third (13).
