Tasmania Police Search and Rescue were notified at 10:30am that a quad bike rider had been injured in sand dunes near West Sandy Point.
The helicopter was activated and two intensive care paramedics treated the 55-year-old Beaconsfield man at the scene before he was winched in a stretcher to the helicopter.
The man was flown to Launceston General Hospital in a stable condition.
