Looking ahead, and changing pace a bit, the annual SYMPHONY UNDER THE STARS run of shows are taking place around the state. The Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra will be performing in Launceston’s City Park on February 25. This year’s line-up also features conductor Jessica Cottis and saxophone soloist Amy Dickson. Pack a picnic, grab a chair and secure your spot early – the free event kicks off at 7pm.
A whole lot of noise is set to take over Launceston’s Greenwood Bar on March 18. NOSCE TEIPSUM will lead the charge, supported by Satanicus, Atra Vetosus, Plague of Sickness, and Interitum. Doors open at 8pm, and entry is $5.
Swedish metal band MESHUGGAH have made a surprise add-on to their already announced Australian tour. The band will play a gig at Hobart’s Odeon Theatre on March 19.
