Not only is the country-folk artist coming off a debut performance at the Tamworth Country Music Festival last month, but her most successful album to date, Into The Wind.
Boxall said she had been overwhelmed by the public’s response to the record.
“It came out at number 11 on the charts across all genres which I was not expecting, so that was really thrilling,” Boxall said.
“Then I had a music video come out at the same time and that reached over 7000 views in under a week so things spiralled and it’s gone really well.
“You're never too sure how it's going to be received, so for it to be received really well is the best result you could possibly hope for.”
Despite having a gig at Hobart’s Wooden Boat Festival on the same weekend, Boxall said she would endeavour to soak up as much of the Festivale culture as possible before making the trip down south.
“You can’t move me too quickly,” Boxall joked.
“I’ll definitely want to taste some of the treats on offer and try some of the nice wines available too and have a chat with people, it’s always a nice social occasion.”
Ange Boxall will perform on the VJAM stage from 1.30pm to 2.15pm on Saturday.
