The 22-year-old will head off to the LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Melbourne's Brickfactor competition next weekend, which could see him land his dream job as a Master Model Builder.
Building with LEGO since he was five, Luke has created everything from model cars to a 10-metre high Christmas tree.
While Luke said he liked the freedom of building LEGO as a hobby, he also enjoys working as a casual builder for Australia’s only LEGO Certified Professional, Ryan McNaught.
“It’s just cool to do something different everyday, different challenges,” he said.
A member of the Tasmanian Brick Enthusiasts club, Luke said the LEGO community was growing in Launceston.
“It wasn’t so much five years ago but it’s definitely getting bigger.”
Luke will compete against more than 70 other LEGO builders during the competition in Melbourne on February 11 and 12.
