Rejana Lee Robinson has been charged with exceeding 80 kilometres per hour on a learner’s license, driving unaccompanied, failing to display her L plates and driving with a drug in her system.
It is alleged she was caught driving while on a drug at Beaconsfield in October.
Four days later she was allegedly caught travelling more than 80kmh on the East Tamar Highway at Dilston.
She was also unaccompanied.
Furthermore, Ms Robinson is facing court for breaching bail in Launceston on December 3, 2015, obstructing an officer in Launceston on September 9, 2015, and stealing in Launceston on March 11 last year.
Ms Robinson was supposed to appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court this week to plea to the charges, but she no-showed.
Her lawyer Fran McCracker said she couldn’t explain Ms Robinson’s non-attendance, but said the 24-year-old hadn’t made contact with her since November and was yet to pay her legal fees.
Ms McCracken then told Magistrate Reg Marron she was dropping Ms Robinson as a client.
Police requested Ms Robinson be arrested over the matters and brought before Mr Marron.
Mr Marron granted their request.
Ms Robinson’s matter will be relisted with the court once she is found.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts should contact Tasmania Police on 131 444, or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
