Petrol prices

R. LEE’S letter (The Examiner, January 16), the price of crude oil is determined each day by one powerful man, when he arrives at his office in the city of London financial district. He is the one with the power to decide at what price the crude shall be sold on the day. He does this every day and has done so for years and years and will continue to do so as long as he lives, but he is rather old now. No doubt, after his death, one of his offspring will start doing the honours from which there is no escape for us, the little people.
