The 21-year-old switched to Launceston from home-town club George Town five years ago and has churned out two hundreds – the second of which came last Saturday against Westbury.
Taylor said the club’s solid first innings total of 217 allowed him to spend quality time in the middle on day two to finish 100 not out.
“There was still a chance Westbury could have outrighted us but it was all about batting time and trying to cash in towards the end of the day for bonus points,” the part-time Cricket Tasmania employee said.
“I’m loving it at Launceston with a very young team and I’m learning every day with them, which is good.
“I spent all my junior time at George Town and about three years of senior cricket.”
Taylor said Mowbray at NTCA No.2 this week would be another great challenge and a chance for the last-placed Lions to work their way up the ladder.
“We are two pretty even teams,” he said.
