Curator Ralf Haertel put a call out for projects exploring sustainability in a range of different ways, the result was Revive.
The exhibition is made of materials recycled in to art. There are seven community projects and six individual artists. The story of Revive was made as a part of a series of events which occurred over summer.
“The cabinet of curiosity was done specifically for this show, the other projects have existed outside and I’ve pulled them together as a survey exhibition. Putting them in one place gives them context,” Haertel said.
Revive has been open since last month, receiving a good response.
“What I was trying to achieve as a curator was to try and bring together this really diverse show of how different people work, but also place it within in a space that highlights some really well developed ways of working,” He said.
“There is community members involved, but there is also quite high level professional artists here as well.”
Haertel said the exhibition was really interesting because everything “just works” because of the recycling theme.
The exhibition is open until February 12.
