The Northern Force and North-West Lightning have both tasted defeat on day three of the 2017 Under-14 Intrastate Championships on Wednesday.

The Force went up against Southern Storm-West in a 50-over match while the Lightning were set a challenge by the visiting Southern Storm-East at West Park Oval.
The Force reached a total of 102-runs with the bat with James Simpson top scoring on 22.
The Storm reached the total in just 35.2 overs to take the win with Samuel Freeman doing most damage with the ball, taking four wickets for the Force.
The Lightning were no match for Southern Storm-East in Burnie as the visitors posted 8-210 from their 50-overs.
The home side were bowled over for just 137-runs after 37 overs with Johnty Devries taking three wickets with the ball and Julius Kerwin knocking an impressive 41-runs with the bat.
Both sides will take to the pitch again from 10am on Thursday.
