Launceston’s weather forecast

A strong southwesterly stream will ease this afternoon, then a high south of the Bight will extend a ridge over Tasmania tonight. The ridge will move across Tasmania during Thursday, then early on Friday morning a trough will extend over the state from a complex area of low pressure moving over Victoria. The low is expected to pass near Flinders Island during Friday, before moving away to the east in the evening. A westerly stream will follow on Saturday, as a high over the Bight extends a ridge to the north of Tasmania.
