The state trailed Queensland 2-0 at half-time before Tasmania fought back to lead 3-2 late on with Launceston duo Jarrod Linger, Joe Dorazio and Hobart’s Jay Hennicke all scoring.
However, Queensland managed an equaliser and the eventual 4-3 winner.
In other results, the state under-12 girls yellow reached the quarter-finals, the under-15 yellow girls were knocked out in the semis and senior men’s made it to the quarters.
Linger along with fellow Launcestonian Yasin Mohannadi (men’s youth), Liam Morton (under-12 boys) and Pishon Choi (under-15 girls) were all selected in the Australian Futsal Association all-stars team for their divisions.
Futsal Tasmania development manager Romeo Frediani said 15 teams from the state took part last week.
“There were some really positive results, which is fantastic,” he said.
