Mr Mansell said his book describes in detail how various concepts might play out, from designated seats in parliament for Aboriginal people to the almost 40-year-old idea of a treaty.
The book is designed to identify what is needed to make Aboriginal people a prosperous people in a modern world.

“The book is designed to identify what is needed to make Aboriginal people a prosperous people in a modern world and I have found that the key ingredients for a distinct people are land, empowerment, finances, cultural integrity and political cohesion,” he said.
One of the key ideas is the advent of a seventh state run by Indigenous people, with its own parliament and court system.
“Our culture is being eroded daily because of the assimilation process, so [I found] it was necessary to look at what was the key response to a pretty dismal looking picture,” he said.
