Jayden Bailey, 15, performed the trick in his backyard ramp, breaking his foot as a result of the impact.
He said he and his father researched the history of the stunt, and found Australian motocross rider Jackson Strong was one of the youngest in the country to perform the flip at the age of 15.
“I had no practice really, I just woke up one morning and decided to pull the jump in my backyard,” Mr Bailey said.
Mr Bailey said he’d been riding for the past two years, and hoped to one day become a motocross champion.
“I’d love to compete in Nitro Circus one day,” he said.
“I’ve previously competed in the SA FMX Freestyle Motocross Championship, placing sixth in the South Australian competition.”

He said his injury has put him out of action for the next eight weeks.
“I did the flip and just got a bit crossed up on the landing. I have four pins in my foot at the moment.”
And while Mr Bailey still has a few tricks up his sleeve, his said next plan is to tackle a no handed backflip.
