The Prospect High school teacher and grade leader already holds the club’s record for most games played and is the Knight’s highest run scorer.
“The club hasn’t had a player reach 300 NTCA A-grade games before so it is an honour to reach that achievement for a great club like South Launceston that it has been a privilege to play for,” Nutting said. “If you included in the T20s I’ve played and three seasons playing in Hobart the total number of games would be in excess of 350 games.”
Nutting debuted as a 15-year-old in the 1992-93 season and the 40-year-old, two-time premiership player has played continuously apart from a year off in the 2014-15 season which reinvigorated his interest. “If you are having success personally or as a team it keeps you interested and I still enjoy playing with the guys each Saturday and coaching.”
