Twelve months on, Mr Ogilvie is on the mend and the club has decided to repeat the event for another worthy cause - the Launceston General Hospital children's ward.
With about 80 riders and nearly 100 bikes set to compete in the fundraiser, club vice-president Graeme Popowski said organisers were hoping to raise between $3000 and $5000 for the ward.
“We decided to donate all our proceeds to the children's ward because we're a kids club and we're all about the kids,” Mr Popowski said.
“Hopefully they'll be able to get some stuff up there for them, maybe not so much medical equipment, but (something to help) kids in hospital so they've got something to do.”
The charity day will be held at the Launceston Junior Motorcycle Club from 9.30am on Sunday.
