Miss Jago is aiming to raise $20,000 for the World’s Greatest Shave, while her friend Erin seeks treatment in Sydney for the second time. She has vouched to shave her hair if the target is raised. Miss Jago said her friend will miss celebrating both her own and her son’s birthdays as well as Christmas while receiving treatment.
“I said to her ‘go and kick it and then come back and enjoy all the birthdays there are’,” Miss Jago said.
Miss Jago’s mum said she thought her daughter was brave, but Miss Jago said her friend was the brave one.
While some have questioned whether Miss Jago’s target is too high, she thinks it’s achievable.
“It’s important that charities like this are supported,” she said.
Miss Jago is aiming to raise funds in a variety of ways before taking the final plunge in April. For more information or to donate, visit Miss Jago’s facebook group ‘Rel’s Fundraising Efforts for the World’s Greatest Shave’.
