Fresh Comedy announced on Friday that Scottish comedian Daniel Sloss would be headlining its March show.
Event organiser Stewart Bell said he was excited to welcome Sloss to Launceston.
“We are very fortunate to have an award winning act of Daniel's calibre join us,” Bell said.
"It promises to be a very special show as he will be performing his full-length show that is also touring the country as part of the Melbourne and Sydney comedy festivals."
Sloss is no stranger to Australia – he performed at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival last year, and has been a part of Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow. His tour of Australia earlier this year was a sell-out.
Those who spend some time in front of telly might also recognise him from Conan O’Brien, where he’s appeared a record six times.
"Sloss will be our first international act and we expect a sell-out show,” Bell said.
Fresh Comedy with Daniel Sloss, and support from Mick Davies, will be held at the Royal Oak Hotel on March 24. Tickets are available now from trybooking.com/NZVN. Reserved seating and general admission tickets are $20.
