LONGFORD crushed Beauty Point by eight wickets on Saturday after bowling the Tamar Tigers out for a meek 71 in 24 overs.

Sent in to bat, Beauty Point were completely outplayed with wickets tumbling on a regular basis. The visitors were 3-39 before losing their final seven wickets for just 32 runs with 10 batsman falling for single figures.
Opener Brennan Cresswell was the only player to show any fight and was the last victim dismissed for 39.
Robert Moore (3-11) and Kieran Davey (3-20) were the wreckers with the ball and in response it took the Country Tigers just 91 balls to surpass the target two wickets down, and record another victory.
Dion Blair and Jackson Blair were unbeaten on 18 and 15, respectively, while captain-coach Josh Adams (18) got his charges off to a flying start.
HADSPEN piled on a colossal 262 for the loss of six wickets against Diggers at Hagley.
After winning the toss opener Nathan Balym led the offensive with brilliant 98 as the Chieftains blasted away at 6.55 runs per over.
Captain Liam Reynolds hit 54 and combined with Balym for a 148-run second-wicket partnership, while Corey Parker (3-66) was Diggers’ only multiple wickettaker.
Bad fielding again let Hadspen down as Diggers captain-coach Paul Fruin compiled 70, Adam Davie hit 32 and Marcus Harris ended up with 43.
Jacob Walker took 3-48 and Nick Price collected 2-41. Diggers finished at 9-208 – 54 runs short of four points.
ACL secured a big 117-run triumph over last year’s A-grade premiers Cressy at University Oval to move into third position.
The Bluebacks made 6-232 off their allotted overs with Shaun Woods (56) and Ben Harris (32) the mainstays.
The Bulldogs’ most productive bowler was Matthew Harris with 2-35 of eight overs but they struggled for durable batsman – bowled out for just 115 in 22.2 overs.
Simon Chappell starred with 5-12 as did captain Sean Barry with 4-34. Cressy got off to a stable start, losing their first wicket on 54 run with openers Jono Goss (24) and Adam Wesley (23) going about their business.
However, they tumbled to be 5-57 and never recovered.
TIGERS recorded their first 40-over win this season, defeating Trevallyn by 102 runs at Faulkner Park.
Captain Luke Richards made 68 at the top of the order and was well supported by Chris Plumbridge (24), Zac Barwick (20) and Zane Brown (39) as they set Trevallyn 222 for victory.
Captain-coach Glen Gleeson (3-49) and Luke Salmon (3-41) were Trevallyn’s best with the ball before that were rolled for 119 in 28 overs.
Phil Gregory top scored with 34 and Gleeson hit a fast-paced 26 as coach Matt Devlin picked up 4-29 to guide the Tigers home.
