Low Head's Ainslie Nursing Home has been unveiled as the beneficiary of the Wilted Quilters' most recent fundraising effort, with the George Town group presenting the home with a new aged care chair on Friday.

Wilted Quilters member Carla Coogan said the repositioning chair, specially designed to minimise pressure sores, would prove a welcome addition to the home.
“Every year we have a friendship day and we have an exhibition, and any money that we raise goes to somebody local in the town,” Mrs Coogan said.
“We held a friendship day on October 22 and we had between 130 and 140 quilters from all over the state... and we decided that we would contribute the money towards buying this chair for the nursing home.”
