The grant was awarded through the Premier’s Discretionary Fund and received as the club prepares to celebrate its 40th anniversary.
President Craig Garwood-Besanvalle said the club has an important link with the local community in providing an environment for families from the East Tamar Region to be involved in sporting activities.
“We are continually aiming to increase the number of families we have involved from the local community,” he said. “Our centre is able to provide sporting activities through the help and dedication of our parent volunteers who do an amazing job for our athletes.
“Receiving this grant means our athletes can have access to much needed new equipment when they compete each week.”
Athletes range from three years of age in the Tiny Tots program, through to under-15s.
