Launceston grabbed a thrilling one-run victory over South Launceston in their NTCA Twenty20 game  on Thursday night.

The Lions made 9-123 batting first with captain Rowan Smith top scoring with 51 and Maison Carstensen hit 34. Jack Young and Liam Johnson picked up two wickets each for the Knights.

South was held to 4-122 in reply in an exciting finish wIth Mark Nutting bowled off the final ball trying to hit the winning runs.

Sean Harris top scored with 57 and John Hayes hit 41.

Riverside defeated Westbury by 36 runs in their match at Windsor Park.

The Blues made 7-155 with Solomon Scott top scoring with 54 and Tom Garwood making 42.

Jonathan Chapman and Jacob Kooran picked up three wickets each for Westbury.

In reply the Shamrocks managed 9-115 with Kieran Hume top scoring with 47.

Lyndon Stubbs took 2-20 for the Blues.
