The girls will travel to the National Cricket Centre in Brisbane for extra specialist training ahead of the 2017-18 season.
Webb, 16, a Launceston College year 11 student, scored 201 runs from eight innings at the carnival for Tasmania at an average of 28.71 and a highest score of 52 not out in the final Twenty20 match.
Manix-Geeves, 16, is a wicket-keeper/batter who attends grade 10 at Riverside High and hit 215 runs with a highest score of 83, at an average of 35.83.
The pair were co vice-captains of the Tasmanian team and were playing in their third national championships for the state.
Both have aspirations of one day earning full-time contracts with the Tasmanian Roar and Hobart Hurricanes WBBL teams.
Webb took another step towards that goal when she was the recipient of a WBBL Hurricanes rookie contract for the coming season from Cricket Tasmania.
“It was really exciting for the both of us getting picked in the under-18 development squad,” Webb said. “It is Emma’s first time being picked in a national squad and she was very excited.
“It’s my second time but first at under-18 level so it will be another level higher and I’m really looking forward to it. I had a really good start to the nationals with the bat followed by a not so good couple of performances in the second half but finished off with a good score in the final against SA and overall I was really happy with the way I went.”
