Kammermeier and Walter Merziger form the house duo Booka Shade, the iconic electronic act who have been circling the globe for more than a decade.
They will be heading to Tasmania this month to take the stage at the Marion Bay Falls Festival.
It was 10 years ago that the pair released their Movements album, the record that put them on the map.
Earlier this year, Booka Shade released its remixed version of that iconic album, Movements 10.
Kammermeier said creating the new work was like taking a trip back to the past.
“For us, the whole project is like closing a chapter because we celebrated 10 years since the release of this album,” he said.
“We had to look at old discs and hard drives … but it was a journey back in time.”
Looking back on the last 10 years of his life, Kammermeier said it sometimes felt like a blur of music, shows and travelling.
“You have a lot of great memories of places, of people, of shows, but sometimes it’s difficult to know what year it was,” he said.
“At the moment we have the luxury to celebrate the past and still look into the future and we know that we have some very exciting music for next year.”
