A 47-year-old Moonah man has been arrested following a 14-hour stand-off with police.
Tasmania Police said a “peaceful resolution” was successfully negotiated.
EARLIER:
Police are at a stand-off with an armed man who barricaded himself inside a house at 5.30pm on Sunday.
Tasmania Police said they were called to the Moonah residence after receiving reports of a dog attack.
It is alleged the 47-year-old barricaded himself inside his home when police arrived.
Police have been negotiating with the man for more than 14 hours.
Police said they are concerned for the man’s welfare.
Maple Avenue, Moonah will remain closed.
Tasmania Police thanked local residents for their patience and understanding, particularly those that were evacuated.
