Marlene Heazlewood and Danny Nichols took out the women’s and men’s singles tournaments respectively, with Heazlewood combining with John Dennis to claim the mixed pairs event and Nichols winning the triples alongside Arthur Sowell and Brad Jacobs.

Legerwood Bowls Club treasurer Robert Jaffray said the Legerwood Badminton Club has also enjoyed a successful season after reforming earlier this year.

“They haven't played for about three years and then my wife started it up again this year and they had a really good season, they'll have to get it going again next year,” Mr Jaffray said.
