Launceston architects and branding specialists S. Group secured the 54th spot on the Australian Financial Review's Fast 100 list for 2016.
The annual list recognises business across the country and is determined by the annual growth of each company over a four-year period.
S. Group earned its spot on the list with a growth of 61.3 per cent, an achievement its founder and director Samuel Haberle is pleased with.
“We’re extremely proud for a small business like ours from Launceston, in only a few short years, to be achieving our goals and setting new benchmarks,” he said.
Among its list of accolades the business was named on the AFR’s Fast Starters list for 2015.
In that same year the group was announced Business of the Year and awarded Excellence in Marketing by the Launceston Chamber of Commerce.
This year, S. Group continued its winning streak and was declared the winner in three categories at the Grand Diemen Awards which recognises design, digital and print sectors in Tasmania.
Operations manager Phil Beeston said the business was now focused on its upcoming projects for 2017.
“We’ve been working on some really exciting projects for Launceston and Tasmania recently, and look forward to these going public,” he said.
He said this week’s national recognition had been an “awesome encouragement” for the company’s staff who “made it all happen”.
“It shows that with vision, passion and a lot of hard work, that even in an economic climate as Launceston has experienced in recent years that you can not only succeed but match it with the rest of Australia.”
The company continues to be involved in local community projects including Junction Arts Festival, Breath of Fresh Air Film Festival and City Mission.
On top of its support for local initiatives, Mr Beeston said S. Group was working on projects in third-world countries including Indonesia and India.
“We have been blessed to get to where we are and we’re really driven to make a difference in our communities both locally and globally, more now than ever before,” he said.
“We’re really excited about the future.
“We love what we do, we have an absolute ball doing it, and we can’t wait for the next chapter to unfold.”
