Celebrating its 70th year in 2016, the Deloraine and Districts Community Banks Deloraine Show remains hugely popular and has continued to produce the goods throughout a long career – in many ways it’s the festival incarnation of Sylvester Stallone.
The latest chapter in the show’s ongoing story will unfold at the Deloraine Showgrounds on Saturday, where organisers have promised to deliver the same family-friendly format which has won many fans in recent times.
“We're three years down the track with our new formula where we've done away with sideshow alley and just made it more family-friendly, over the past two years that's worked really well,” entertainment committee member Lyn Dornauf said.
“It’s suited the demographic of our community and we've had really positive feedback on that so that’s wonderful, so we're hoping this year will be just as good as we've had in the past two years.”

A sizeable assortment of animals will again feature at the show, with a pet parade, animal nurseries and equestrian events set to run throughout the day.
The lineup also promises plenty in the way of children’s entertainment, with zorb balls, puppet shows, face painting and a dedicated kid’s zone.
The Deloraine Big Band will take charge of providing musical entertainment, while Keep the Beat will make its debut show appearance.
“That’s a gentleman who brings along his African drum and he's playing throughout the day and there'll be times in the day where he will encourage crowd participation so it's very much an interactive fun family event.
“We also have a magician who's not going to stand there and do magic tricks, he's going to be a wandering minstrel almost and wander through the crowds through the day around the entertainment area.”
Gates open at 9am, with entry $10 per adult, $5 per child and free for under 5s.
