The Name Of The Game is getting people of all ages together in a beautiful setting to enjoy music and to boost the morale of a community hit hard by fire and flood throughout the year.
The name of the event is A Day On The Creek, started by Mole Creek Hotel manager and local Super Trouper Doug Westbrook and friends nine years ago.
From small beginnings with a few hundred people partying on the banks of Stoney Creek, the crowd is now capped at 1500 people to ensure a relaxing, stress-free day and and to provide an intimate concert experience with what this year will be the biggest and best line-up of musicians yet.
Everyone will be able to bring out their inner Dancing Queen when BABBA - the ABBA tribute band that Molly Meldrum dared describe as being as good as the real thing, takes to the country stage on February 25.
This headline act will belt out all the best songs of the famous Swedish band, from Fernando to Mamma Mia, and Doug is inviting everyone to dress up as their favourite ABBA singer.
“We’ll be giving away spot prizes throughout the day for the best costumes, including a weekend at a top holiday spot,” he said.

“The music festival tickets go fast, so those who want to grab them as Christmas presents and lock in the date should do it now.”
Naturally, BABBA will by the final act between 7.30pm and 9.30pm, but the running list to that point is all quality.
At 1pm Adam Page, who has wowed patrons at the hotel in recent weeks with his Elvis tribute show, will give an explosive opening.
Around 2pm Dave Hawkins, a Tamworth prizewinner, will give all the country music fans exactly what they want, and he will be followed around 3pm by The FIRMM (Frank, Ian, Rod, Mark and Mark).
From there Keith “Stretch Kerwin and friends Game of Tones will rock it out leading up to the amazing upbeat performance at 5.30pm of the nine-piece Polynesian rock/reggae band Boil Up.
For those wanting to stay the night camping is available for $20 (toilets available), with the fee going to the Mole Creek Progress Association.
Buses are being organised from Ulverstone and Launceston and there will be plenty of food and beverage stalls on site (no BYO).
Ticket prices are: $55 adult, $100 double, children under 13 $5. To purchase a ticket go to: A Day At The Creek
