The three day dance-off has seen swingers from across Tasmania dancing from the Cataract Gorge to Prince’s Square.
Organiser Cassandre Tickner Smith said it was a chance for dancers to get out and enjoy themselves.
“We just really love dancing … the fun, the energy ... and meeting new people,” she said.
“Wherever you travel there’s somewhere you can dance.”
Ms Tickner Smith said swing-dancing could be enjoyed by all ages.
“In Launceston in particular the swing-dancing community is really healthy at the moment,” she said.
“We have classes in Devonport, Launceston and Hobart … and we have beginner and intermediate classes.”
Swingmania will continue in Launceston on Sunday with workshops across the day and a social event at the Gunners Arms Tavern from 5pm.
